Characteristics of Romania:  Romania has been known for two notable characteristics – incredible agricultural production, and numerous orphanages filled with neglected infants and children. With a colorful history of abundant crop production followed by extreme poverty, Romania owes much of its struggles to the dictatorship of Ceausescu, who ruthlessly stole from the people while he and his family lived in a luxurious palace with unlimited amenities. As a result, thousands of Romanian children were orphaned and abandoned, and Romania earned its reputation as the “land of the orphans.” Still today, Romania’s orphanages are filled with little ones who may receive little more than the absolute necessities – food, water, and a place to sleep. Please consider how God can use you on a Mission Possible team to minister to these precious children who desperately need attention, affection, and loving care.
