Chicago
We have worked with two ministries in inner-city Chicago:
One is a ministry to homeless men, women, and families. The teams have worked to improve the mission facilities, helped in the free clothing and home-supplies "store", and prepared and served meals. An especially enjoyable time is playing with the children and helping them with homework.
The other Chicago ministry focuses on child evangelism. The team assists with summer block parties, complete with food and games, to bring area children into a fun and positive environment where the team shares Christ with them. How exciting to see children come to know Christ as their Savior!
Hong Kong/China
What an interesting culture! Our hearts are broken when we see the people bound by tradition and superstition.
Many Chinese youth desire to speak English. We teach conversational English through creative, fun activities while also incorporating Bible stories and moral issues. Our teams enjoy teaching the language to such willing students and building friendships with these precious people.
India
India is a very poor country with a colorful culture and strong traditions. One of the team's first activities is a visit to the marketplace, where the girls can buy Indian clothing to wear for the remainder of the trip.
Mission activities have included various work projects and teaching English in a school, where the team also has time to get to know the children. At this time there is a need for a new school building.

Jamaica
We travel inland to the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf, where we stay while helping to improve the school's facilities. Past work projects have included building a retaining wall, working on the girl's vocational training building, and construction of a goat barn. CCCD boards approximately 150 hearing-impaired children. The trip includes time for playing with the kids and the chance to enjoy God's handiwork evidenced in the beautiful hills in which the school is located.
Equador
Young World International was founded to bring the Gospel to the young people of Latin America and the world by training youth leaders, ministering to international students and expatriates, and exposing youth groups to missions. Mission teams stay and work at El Refugio, Young World's retreat and training center north of Quito. There you will help in developing the center's facilities, which include dormitories, dining areas, and outdoor trails and equipment. You may also have opportunities to participate in Young World ministry activities and go sight-seeing. Come and see missions and the world in a whole new way!
Mexico
The Mexico team travels to the high plateau of the Sierra Madres, to an orphanage where the team lives, worships, and prays with the approximately 100 children of the Casa Hogar. Spending time and sharing love with these special children is a highlight of the trip.
Our current work project for the orphanage is a food storage/food bank building. The Casa teaches and lives "Prayer and Giving", and will use the building to redistribute to other orphanages, nursing homes, and native villages much of what they receive from their Provider God.
Romania
The team travels to the historic city of Bucharest, where we are able to learn about the culture and see some of the sights. The team spends time in a hospital, holding and helping with abandoned babies, and also visits and plays with older children in an orphanage. We also visit the Transition House, where young men and women from the orphanage who have recently finished school learn to live in a family and care for a home. Here they are also taught a skill useful as an occupation, such as sewing or auto mechanics.
Other Teams
Tell us your dreams and we will try to lay out a team for you!
